The Mission and Purpose of the Houston Blues Society:

"The purpose of the Organization shall be to provide for the study, research, and preservation of the blues culture and music unique to Houston, Texas and the Texas Gulf Coast, and for the continued development of the blues tradition in Houston, Texas, and increased public awareness of the existence and value of that tradition."

Annelia is a computer programmer/pricing project manager for Baker Hughes, native Texan and supporter of local live music. She grew up in Tomball, graduated from the University of Houston with a B.S. in Mathematics and fell in love with Blues music listening to B. B. King and Bobby “Blue” Bland in the old Coliseum arena. Currently, Annelia supports the Houston Blues Society by handling internet merchandise and membership orders and volunteering at many events including International Blues Challenge competitions, Juneteenth, Charles R. Brown and Houston International Festivals. Annelia is completing her first term as a one-year appointed Director.

The Houston Blues Society is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 corporation. One half of membership dues are tax deductible.
